ActiveEdge One of the Founding Members of Nashua's Young Professionals Organization

Nashua , NH – On May 23, 2007, The Greater Nashua Chamber of Commerce officially launched a new networking and development organization for Young Professionals called IUGO. IUGO is a Latin word that means to connect and IUGO's mission if to connect young professionals to other young professionals and to their community.

ActiveEdge Co-Founder, Deepak Gursahaney, is one of the founding members of this organization. He was drawn to the concept because of the "Brain Drain" phenomenon that is currently happening in New Hampshire. Many people go to college in New Hampshire but then decide to go elsewhere to start their careers. "For a business like ActiveEdge to flourish, we need a steady influx of young people", Gursahaney said. He went on to say that "IUGO provides us a venue to both attract and retain young professionals in New Hampshire by connecting them with other professionals to expand both their social and professional networks, which in turn, gives them strong roots within our community."

The kickoff event for the organization was held at Martha's Exchange and attracted over 240 young professionals. The organization will hold three types of events

Social Events - an informal networking event
Professional Events - topics include how to advance in your career
Better Living Events - topics such as a scotch and cigar or wine tasting.
